Band History
*Founded in July 2001 by Terrence Williams and James Adams, the band hails from Breezy
Point in Rockaway Beach, New York.

*The band kilt is the New York City Tartan - with blue for the water, green for the parks and 2
black pinstripes in memory of 9/11, was first worn by Sean Connery in support of Marie Curie
Foundation for Cancer Care.

*The band has won many awards which include First Place Pipe & Drum Band in the Queens
County Rockaway St. Patrick's Parade, and Best New Pipe Band in the Pearl River St. Patrick's
Day Parade 2005.

*The organization consists of men, women and children who range in age from 8 to 60 years
old. The Breezy Point Catholic Club Pipes and Drums Band awards an annual scholarship to a
young member who has shown outstanding ability and dedication.

*The organization prides itself on Celtic heritage and recently traveled abroad to Scotland to
perform at Pipefest 2005 in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh with 10,000 pipes and drums once again
to support cancer awareness. The band began competing in 2006 in grade 5 and has produced
several solo competition award-winning pipers and drummers.
